COMMUNITY BOATING CENTER RECEIVES FLEET
DONATION FROM NANTUCKET COMMUNITY SAILING

Community Boating Center (CBC) has announced that it has received a donation of six Capri 14.2 sailboats from Nantucket Community Sailing.

The 14' sailing dinghies, used in Nantucket Community Sailing's (NCS) summer programs, were offered to CBC after NCS received a surprise donation of a new replacement fleet. The boats will be used to supplement CBC's fleet during their fundraising efforts to acquire additional new boats to sustain the growth of youth outreach and lesson programs at Providence's India Point Park.

Peter Gengler, President of CBC commented, "Nantucket Community Sailing's boat donation embodies the collaborative spirit of community boating. We truly appreciate their generosity."

Founded in 1995, Nantucket Community Sailing (NCS) is a non-profit, educational organization providing affordable recreational access to sailing & various water sports to the public.

Community Boating Center (CBC) is a non-profit, 501c3 recreational organization offering all members of the community an opportunity to sail. Located in India Point Park, CBC provides outreach, sailing lessons and affordable access to the Providence waterfront. Gifts of cash or property to CBC may be treated as charitable donations for Federal Tax purposes.
