Join renowned yachting and adventure photographer, Onne van der Wal, for a slide show exploring the images taken during his five week expedition to the island of South Georgia off Antarctica.
Onne and the crew of the 88' sloop Shaman retrace the steps of the famed pole explorer, Sir Ernest Shackleton. Experiencing the beauty of Antarctic wildlife, Onne captured amazing images of the islands populations of Wandering Albatross, King Penguin, Chin Strap Penguins, as well as monstrous Sea Lion and Reindeer.
This special presentation to benefit Community Boating Centers youth sailing programs will be hosted by Paul Cuffee School, a maritime charter school for Providence children.
Community Boating Center is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization on Providences waterfront dedicated to providing affordable access to sailing on upper Narragansett Bay.
