Community Boating Center instructor Ian Horne, 16, Barrington, gives the boat a push off the dock at the Community Boating Center at India Point in Providence. About 50 kids ages, 8-11, have been taking part in the two-week program “KidsSail” where they learn basic sailing skills. They go out in new 14-foot Hunter 140 sailboats and learn safety, rigging and steering among other introductory skills of sailing while having fun. Seated are L-R: Olivia Warburton, 10, Hannah Finkelstein, 8, Grace Whiting, 10, Zoey Martin, 8, and Olivia Cicerone, 10.
