COMMUNITY BOATING CENTER PARTNERS WITH
PROVIDENCE BOAT SHOW TO SUPPORT YOUTH BOATING PROGRAMS

DONATE $1 TO SUPPORT YOUTH BOATING AT BOAT SHOW TICKET BOOTH

Community Boating Center (CBC) has announced an exciting opportunity for RI boaters to help support youth boating by donating $1 to CBC at the Providence Boat Show ticket booth.

Partnering with the Providence Boat Show’s new management team, CBC hopes to evoke the passion of Ocean State boaters in fostering the growth of CBC’s non-profit youth boating programs for everyone.

CBC will also provide details on it’s programs and NEW fleet of boats at the Small Craft Sailing Center at the Providence Boat Show, 1/11-1/14, booth 745, on the upper deck of the RI Convention Ctr. The new fleet has allowed CBC to further grow its youth and adult learn-to-sail programs with a safe, stable, and fun design providing increased comfort in introducing new sailors to the sport. It features unsinkable construction, a wide “non-tippy” hull, and a user-friendly, simple layout.

Details on CBC’s “Renaissance Regatta”, a corporate benefit event featuring teams of CBC youth and adult sponsors working together in a series of fun challenges and races will also be available. The annual regatta is followed by a silent auction all in support of CBC youth outreach initiatives.

John O’Flaherty, Executive Director of CBC commented, “Your spare change can help support a boatload of children. Community Boating is excited to continue to serve as a gateway to Narragansett Bay in introducing boating to the people of the Ocean State.”

Community Boating Center (CBC) is a non-profit, 501c3 recreational organization offering all members of the community an opportunity to enjoy boating. Located in India Point Park, CBC provides youth outreach, sailing lessons and affordable access to the Providence waterfront. Gifts of cash or property to CBC may be treated as charitable donations for Federal Tax purposes.
