Community Boating Center (CBC) has announced that it raised over $20K in it's fourth annual Renaissance Regatta August 23, 2003 at the Harry Carr Memorial Boathouse at Providence's India Point Park.

Hinckley, Allen & Snyder LLP secured first place in the regatta's "Corporate Challenge" format in which local organizations sponsor teams of employee-sailors in a series of small sailboat races. All sponsorship proceeds benefit CBC's inner city youth outreach programs including the "Mayor's Cup" in which youth participants from CBC compete against one another as part of the regatta's line-up.

Peter Gengler, President of CBC commented, "We sincerely thank all of our Corporate Challenge sponsors including: Aardvark Design Group, Burns & Cotter Inc., H. Carr & Sons, Hinckley, Allen & Snyder LLP, Process Construction Management, and Sunsail."

"We also wish to thank our Mayor's Cup sponsors: BankRI, Collette Vacations, Columbia Air Services, Graphic Innovations, Inkstone Printing Company, Morgan Stanley, Providence Business News, The Providence Journal, and Workflow Wizards."

Community Boating Center (CBC) is a non-profit, 501c3 recreational organization offering all members of the community an opportunity to sail. Located in India Point Park, CBC provides outreach, sailing lessons and affordable access to the Providence waterfront. Gifts of cash or property to CBC may be treated as charitable donations for Federal Tax purposes.
